Spasticity & Neuromuscular

Our specialty teams focus on specific areas and care based on specialized provider training.

Spasticity & Neuromuscular

The Cerebral Palsy and Movement Disorders Team provides an integrated multidisciplinary approach to a variety of disorders including spasticity, athetoid conditions, gait abnormalities and rare muscle disorders. The team approach includes nonoperative and operative management.  Nonoperative management includes a variety of therapies, orthotics and medical management such as botox chemodenervation and baclofen oral medication. Operative approaches include spine, hip, muscle transfers, muscle lengthenings and minimally invasive approaches to contractures.  The key to success is the long term commitment of our team to the whole child and emphasis on maximizing function and improving quality of life.
